Here Technologies Internship

Hello Everyone,

This is Yellanki Abhinav from Bennett university  has worked as intern in Here technologies for almost 2 months . In this blog I am going share my intern experience and what i have learn from the internship.

Now a days we are seeing many companies have been offering internship to students on lots of factors. Unlike the students from other years have faced difficulty due to covid-19, by this covid-19 we are supposed to do our intern work from home and make clearing our doubts with company virtually. By this way we have successfully completed our internship from home.

Approach for this internship

Our University got many companies that are offering internships to work from home due to pandemic situation and I have applied some of the internships. In those I have selected in the Here Technologies company as an intern. The reason that I have joined this company as intern to learn new things, how to manage work load, and also to gain knowledge on certain tools used for the API testing.
I started working for this company from first week of June 

Here Technologies is a company that produces mapping and location data and related services to companies. Here stores the location content such as road networks, building, traffic etc. And also it provides platform services to smartphones from the here application and it can also provide the voice navigation for the users who are facing issues while tracking the location.

Here producing their services to some of the big companies such as Facebook, Bing, Yahoo and also for the government client's.

My Role

After joining as an intern in the company the first task they told us to create an account in the here platform. They teach us how to use here API tools. In the training sessions of here maps we have learn about some concepts that which helps us to work freely and easily. After the first training session they have gave us an assignment to mark POI's and PA's of target 2000,

In this we have to mark the buildings and addresses by using API called HERE MAP CREATEOR. we started editing in the here maps creator for this we use satellite view to make that everything is marked clearly and perfectly. For all these things we have followed certain bunch of rules. some times the plotted building gets rejected due to some reasons. With all these in mind we have completed our target of 2000 plots approved by the mentor.

Experience:

In Here technologies I worked as intern for 2 months. Here in this intern I have learned a lot things and get adapted with the new technologies and learn some interesting facts about he tools and usage of APIs, sometimes I have some difficulty while plotting the building but with help of mentor i have successfully completed all the given task and completed the target within time.
